Sad and ultimately rather bitter: Schweizer et al v. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation
Of course, Sikorsky's interest in the S-333 platform waned once the U.S. Navy decided to switch the Fire Scout program to the larger MQ-8C, based on the Bell 407 Fire-X platform. The S-434 program also failed to achieve any sales beyond the Saudi government, and even that customer "returned several of the four-bladed turboshaft helicopters because they were wearing out before the end of their estimated service lives." Not true - all the X2 work was done at the legacy Schweizer building by Schweizer employees, and a few Sikorsky guys.

I'm familiar with the acronym for the Military Derivative Completion Center but you lost me on RP. I didn't know anybody back east had them confused. When I went out to Schweizer I still had a big network from the mother ship - 16 years full time there plus another 4 between being a security guard and a co-op. Back to the thread though, I hope they are successful.
