Leonardo/Westland - Yeovil (UK)

Could anyone give me an update of what is actually built at the Westland/Leonardo site in Yeovil these days. Is it still just Lynx and EH101, or have Agusta sent some other work there? It's been almost 20 years since I worked there so just curious? Many thanks, CRAN |

But just the eleven UK SAR aircraft by the sounds of it: Flight: Leonardo Helicopters could move AW149 production to UK Although Leonardo Helicopters had hoped the Somerset site would become a centre of excellence for search and rescue (SAR) AW189s, a lack of orders beyond 11 for Bristow Helicopters in the UK has put paid to this in the short term; although [Managing Director of Leonardo Helicopters Daniele] Romiti refuses to rule out some future SAR work, it is entirely dependent on volumes, he says. |

The newer E model Guardian will be assembled at Mesa , AZ Boeing contracted to remanufacture 38 UK Apaches to AH-64E standard | Jane's 360 I am led to believe there were talks between Boeing and Leonardo re support afterwards but for sure not as far as being assembled. Cheers |

One just taxied past my window and my first thought before it came into view was that someone must have been flying a Lynx for delivery somewhere - then the ugly tail section came into view...............
