Over the years, I've heard that various nations have 'had' these, but Google,Wikipedia don't mention them. 'Concrete block on the other side" variously Egyptian or Pakistani anyone know differently?

Mmmm .....
The closest thing to a single engine PUMA (330J) MIGHT be that on LOOOONG ferry flights one MIGHT pull ONE engine back to idle in order to improve SFC .... .... MAYBE .... |
Aérospatiale SA 321 Super Frelon was 3 engined, one of them positioned in front, could look like a one engined PUMA from far away?
|
SE SA321?
Not even from very far away!.

one MIGHT pull ONE engine back to idle in order to improve SFC The Turmo IIIC was designed as a railway traction unit. Constant fuel consumption/variable noise seemed to be it's main criteria. |
