S76B VTOL procedure

Howdy. Does anyone know if the Sikorsky FM has a Vertical T/O procedure for Cat A operations? I know the A model and C model didn't.

Don't recall one, and we only used ours in Cat b anyway. Try asking Flight Safety at West Palm Beach? They have all the good info. Otherwise PM Nick Lappos....

The C+ RFM, Supp 8 and 9.......two different types of Cat A Vert TO Procedures. Doubt there is anything applicable to the B.

Vertical profile

In the UK we had one for sure. I remember practicing it at Blackbushe - simply horrid profile and a few people dinged the aircraft practicing it.

G. :ok:

From the RFM index try 76B FAA Supplement #9 or for 'Group A' try EASA Supp #6 or CAA Supp's 9, 13 and 15. All are listed as applicable to 76B.

Thanks all for the support. The number one reason for slow S76 sales in our part of the world is the lack of predicated Cat A information in the flight manual and in particular for the VTOL approach. Without the information, the hospitals won't permit the aircraft to operate into and out of their built up areas.

Steve 76 - you may not have a choice, but the S76C+ and S76C++ will usually give you a better disposable load and similar Ground Level Cat A Vertical helipad MTOW (11,00lbs) subject to WAT limit corrections. The S76B is a very good machine, but she is relatively heavy and burns more fuel per hour than the C+ and C++. (800 plays 710 from memory). Mind you those sweet PT-6's run like Chevy V8's. Those RFM references kindly mentioned by Sanus will point you in the right direction. Good luck !
