looks like its between the vibrex 2000 plus or the microbe 11 the smart avionics kit looks good but it won't do the fenestrom
any one used with of these and offer any advise to which or got a vibe kit to sell ? steve |
We use the Microvib and its perfect. Good interface, smart learning algorithms. Logs all your balance runs, good for reference.
And it does it all from main, tail including fenestron, cabin hammers (You do have to buy your own big hammer to wack them :E and a bucket of water) Been able to get a fenestron within or below .1 in 3 runs. |
I was so impressed with it I bought the kit,
It made my 120 smooth as silk, The underfloor weights were the ones to master to get them in tune, very easy to do with the microvib..... Nelly |
hi nelly
i have just ordered a new microbe 11 from DSS in the states its for my gazelles shame i didn't know you had one, we maybe had been able to some sort of a deal to use yours as am only a few miles from you at breighton /escrick regards steve |
With reference to your "underfloor weights" or "hammers".
It pays to check your RRPM is correct first. Inherent in the Arriel and Arrius 1 FCU is a drift in the RPM with fuel SG. So as your mean fuel temperature shifts with the season so will your RRPM. The NR Tach is not accurate enough to see the difference - use the MicroVib Tach function. Unless you have changed things in your aircraft drastically since it was built the hammers do not shift - it is the RRPM that has moved. Playing with the hammers is a last resort.:= |
Yes shame, I saw you were only up the road Steve, and it's sat doing nothing ..... Can't you cancel it ?
Hammers were found to be out, I know it drifts with OT, so in winter I take it back to maintenance to have the anticipator adjusted by 1 degree which puts this back to perfect.. I tell you it's the smoothest 120 around ... As ray Jones will tell you .... |
nelly
no its paid for and possibly on its way regards steve |
Hi Steve,
Does the gazelle have the hammers under the floor ? If it does get yourself a pretty heavy rubber hammer ordered.... You'll need one to wack the weight with ... Not a sand dean blow hammer though .... Regards Daz |
