.

Looks like space inside that machine for about two minutes worth of battery power .... just enough to make the video.

Or is it plugged in to a power source .... at one point in the video you can see a cord or rope being dragged along

Here is a recent "record setting" 905 feet on batteries

Hiller was doing this on 80 hp gasoline power in 1955

Which proves the old saying .... "everything was invented in the 1940's"

I'd rather have a bike.

Reminds me of a movie of the past .... or of the future?

... and of me and my best friend when we were kids trying to sail from one shoreline to the other on an ice cake trying to stay dry.

Will it work with a 90 KG person, and what happens down hill and when you want to turn around and go back ..uphill.. or is it just for windless flat lands, something we don't really have here in the UK.. But looks a load of fun..

Also isn't that about the same horse power as the R22

R22 Beta II has 131hp available for 5 min take-off and 124hp continuous.
And that is after de-rating.

Hi all,

decades ago, in ground school Linton, they told us, you need about 100 hp per t fixed wing, to have some decent flying with it - and about 400 hp per t for a helicopter.
Both will fly with less power - but not with decent characteristics....
So a hoverboard should be possible with about 40 to 50 hp...
Little hovercrafts for 2 people have a lifting engine with about 40 hp
