OLD B206
 

I am looking at acquiring an early 1970s B206. The aircraft is very clean, all records are intact with only 3 owners. My question is if I own this aircraft for say 2-3 years will I be able to find a buyer to exit or are these early models in such low demand that I will own this forever? Thank you in advance.

I have noticed that it can take one year to sell a helicopter. That's from the listings I have seen. Of course if the selling price is really low it can be sold in a week.

Remember, by then the 505 should have hit the market. You would probably have to sell significantly cheaper than today's prices.

There will always be a market for a used B206.

Buy it cheap, use it as required, sell it for minimal loss. The buyers of a 45-y.o. B206 are not in the same market as a new 505, so don't worry about that.

Have you already carried out a pre-purchase inspection?

Inspected all the paperwork, made sure all ASB´s or SB´s or whatever are carried out?

All parts are serviceable and "Track-able"?

Have you opened all covers and cowlings, looked into all those dark corners?

The older an aircraft is, the more time you need to spend looking for snags....

The Bell 206 should take you at least 2-3 days to look into to make sure you don´t buy something not worth the money....

Havent gotten up close yet, its a distance away so just started going through the logs and creating maintenance cost estimates based on projecting time out items over the next 3yrs/1000 hrs of use. Thank you for all comments.
