Did anyone see the man from the CAA?

Sir Korsky 5th Aug 2015 02:32

Ukrainian top gear?:ugh:

krypton_john 5th Aug 2015 02:35

Maybe he was just lost?

IFR = I fly roads.

Highway Patrol...

TWT 5th Aug 2015 07:38

The car driver is as mad as the helicopter pilot.

Got up to 216km/h,most of the time not much below 180km/h.

130km/h speed limit on motorways in the Ukraine.Guess there's not many cops around.

Slight thread drift but plenty of cars regularly drive at much higher speeds on unrestricted German autobahns. Are all of those drivers 'mad' as well?

TWT 5th Aug 2015 09:59

J.A.F.O. 5th Aug 2015 18:56

BRIDGE :ooh: WIRES

switch_on_lofty 5th Aug 2015 19:21

This is pretty low too, although a bit more staged.

Flying Stick 5th Aug 2015 19:27

Is it just me or does that look a lot like a CGI helicopter?! :suspect:

Luther Sebastian 5th Aug 2015 20:47

It looks incredibly like a CGI helicopter.

JBL99 6th Aug 2015 19:16

Have to say, I thought it was CGI too when I first saw it. Still not sure having watched it several times over!

Self loading bear 6th Aug 2015 21:21

I too think it is CGI.
The bicycle at 1:01 does not seem to be influenced by the down wash.
For the thread drift: bicycles are something rarely encountered on the German highways.

CRAZYBROADSWORD 7th Aug 2015 07:26

It's cgi ! There's no dust or sign of down wash , there is no adjustment in attitude to compensate for the hills and the driver does not even flinch when a helicopter appears 20 feet away

Arnie Madsen 7th Aug 2015 14:07

.

FAKE

You can see the kids hand reflecting on the computer screen around 1:12

SilsoeSid 7th Aug 2015 14:27

All those weapon stations and a red cross on the belly :=

All those weapon stations and a red cross on the belly
Well spotted! :D I too had concluded it was CGI but I missed the red cross.

JBL99 7th Aug 2015 19:27

Good stuff Sid - I didn't spot that either!

Hompy 7th Aug 2015 22:04

Not a fake

If it's a fake, it's a really good fake. That isn't a computer screen, it's the windscreen. The shadows and tree dodging looks real to me.

NNB 7th Aug 2015 22:11

red cross just means delivered safely, doesn't it?

Dash footage of car formating with Ukraine Mi-17 on motorway

Not sure if this has been seen here before:

Military helicopter swooping over the roof of a car on a public road | Daily Mail Online

Evil Twin 23rd May 2016 05:41

Fake by the looks of it

Fark'n'ell 23rd May 2016 05:51

A low-flying military helicopter passed over the top of a car and raced it along the road at speeds of up to 125mph in some incredible footage posted online.
Didn't know a Lada was that fast.:D:D:D:D:D

PlasticCabDriver 23rd May 2016 07:41

Must be fake.

A real mil pilot would have gone under the bridge....:E

WASALOADIE 23rd May 2016 08:10

Real! Climbs up to clear the bridge and wires.

Good bit of IFR

(I Follow Roads)

Bushfiva 23rd May 2016 10:12

Something similar from 2012:

Fareastdriver 23rd May 2016 12:39

I wonder if the speed camera got the Mi17 at 2.30.

Tourist 25th May 2016 08:05

It was not CGI

p.s. why would attitude change for a hill?
