Lost in the B429 Auto Pilot

I am currently flying a B429 and I am learning (slowly) about how the Auto pilot functions. I was given an initial training by a "Bell Trainng Company" out of FTW but the instructor knew absolutely noth ing about the auto pilot system. I am using my caveman knowledge of Autopilots and the flight manual to try and get my head around it. I am practicing only Rnav approches at this time and can get the autopilot to complete the approach. Anyone could give me a quick B429 autopilot for dummies answer on the sequence and manner used for this I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

429 Auto Pilot

Trim On/ ATT On/ AutoPilot CPL to FD/ Proc loaded (possibly activated depending on what you are trying to do. IE Vectors you would not activate with FMS in the roll mode unless you want to turn direct to the FAF) in GPS with correct airport/ L4 key on DU with FMS 1 or 2 selected. Nav selected on the CHFD then when the GPS cycles to APR and you are cleared for Approach press the APR button on the CHFD. There is an FMS explaining LNAV approaches in more detail, I think it is FMS 7 or 8. Check it out.... Pretty simple procedure.
