Bell 206/407 aux power socket type
 

Hey guys,

We have these little round threaded auxiliary power sockets in our Bell 206B/L and 407s. I know it's some sort of Cannon plug, but our engineers don't really seem to have a clue how to find out what the model number of the corresponding male plug is?

Any pointers would be appreciated.

We just need some power to run a backup GPS.

Sounds a bit like the "Strange socket 24V 400W in AS350" thread of a couple of weeks ago. There is a photo in that thread if it may help.

Part number is MS3106A16-11P for connector
part number MS3057-8A backshell

This is assuming you mean the 28V connector on the left hand side of the pedastal that you plug a chadwick into.

Spot on with the part no, one thing to watch out for is the polarity. Bell fitted ones are A Neg B Pos but there are a number around with A Pos B Neg so check out the 'fleet' and don't assume it can be expensive.

If memory serves me, the strobex is B positive, sometimes the blue inner part has 2 grooves so you can rotate it to allow the connector to match the aircraft, or you can take a hacksaw and make one.
