And I have always asked myself what it means exactly.

Royal Corgi has a bout of diarrhea or vomits on the carpet, you certainly don't think the sovereign is going to be cleaning that up, do you?

General dogsbody duties doesn't sound quite so prestigious nor vague. VVIP usually means Very Very Imperial Pain.

I thought that I saw the current driver was the recipient of an honour awarded by The Queen earlier this year, but cannot seem to find a reference.

Anyone better clued up at finding such things?
