helicopter cropdusting

I operate a bell 206b3 doing aerial application. I'm curious what other airframes out there do ag work and how much they carry. I'm interested in getting a bigger machine (possibly 206L3 or as350) but I would like to know if anyone is using these machines and what size of loads they are carrying and what kind of swath they get. I currently carry 80gal loads and sometimes up to 100 gal depending on conditions. Min fuel always, working off a truck pad. 55' swath is what i pull with the 206 at 2 gal/acre work, certified. Thanks

Here in NZ we use just about every type of Helicopter for "crop-dusting" or what we call spraying.

A lot of NZ operators are now using AS350's and Longbox's for "ag" work.

PM if you would like more info.

Anything up to a Bell UH1/204/205 in size. Have even seen a BK117 pushed into action for spraying over a city here in NZ.

Back a few years the mosquito spraying was done in the USA with 212's.

I haven't seen anything bigger than a medium Bell being used, I'm sure there has been and would love to see it....
