Silverstone GP pilots' briefing
Given that Heli Air had insisted that the BGP briefing was mandatory for pilots to attend in person, it was noticeable just how many did not attend, including from the main players.
Some thoughts:- - Are Heli Air being over the top in demanding all pilots attend? e.g. Why can't a Chief Pilot or senior pilot attend and pass on the information to their in-house pilots? - How do Heli Air plan to stop those pilots that didn't attend from flying in? - Are those operators/pilots that didn't attend being reckless, or are they making a rational business decision not to take x number of pilots out of their schedule during peak season? Yes, this is my first post under this name to protect the innocent (me!) |
Hopefully it has changed but the last I heard there was so few slot available that most people have made other plans

The Silverstone pilot's briefing has always been mandatory for the event. We only ever send one pilot and an ops person and that pilot briefs the rest. I didn't go this year but understand the brief was thorough and professional.
