Bell 206L down Australia
MI Helicopters had a mishap around the Taroom area a few days ago.
Hope it wasn't Capt Hollywood, i think he flies for these guys. From the ATSB site. While conducting sling load operations, the load at the end of the long line became tangled. The pilot attempted to land the helicopter, however when at about 10 ft above ground level, the line pulled tight. The pilot was unable to release the line, and the helicopter collided with terrain, resulting in substantial damage. The pilot received minor injuries. |
How unfortunate, MI is a good operator.

I think Capt. Hollywood was based at Roma, but I am sending him a message to check in and make sure he's ok.
