sore head

Anyone know how the poor pilot who got his head smacked by a blade is?
It happened in the last day or two in the NW of England

I don't know full details (helicopter type/whether rotors were turning/anyone else in helicopter, blah blah) just that it happened in high winds and he was knocked unconcious.

Hopefully he has got off with just a sore head.

MD-500E G-JIVE. The unfortunate was Roger Feather. Landed in a field at Nelson, Lancs. According to local news report, his "co-pilot" got out and accidently banged his head on the heli. Roger went to help him, and a sailing blade smacked him on the head, giving him a depressed fracture of the skull. Reported as "seriously ill".

(I know this machine, and unless it is a very recent addition, it is not fitted with a rotor brake)

I'm sure all our thoughts are with Roger and his family for a happy ending to this unfortunate incident.
