IR (H) Training

Hi all.

First post on here, going to jump in at the deep end.

I have recently passed all the ATPL ground exams and have accumulated the minimum required hours for the CPL H.

My question is, How hard did you find the IR rating process?

I am seriously considering doing the CPL and IR back to back in a 10/11 week time duration.

Obviously one man's meat is another man's poison. I have been told it is a tough ask for someone with so little flying experience to do the IR.

Any pointers or advice on what I will be getting myself in to are welcome.

Part of the problem is fighting the twin rating at the same time. If you can treat yourself to some seriously accurate flying before the course. MS Flight Sim is a worthwhile investment. 2002 is good enough.

Spring time for all of it. Thanks for the tip. Dust off the old flight sims.

IR TNG

Try Rotor&Wings at Lelystad airport in the netherland, they have a BO 105 for MET and IR TNG.
