First German EC-Tiger crashed
According to some sources it seems, that a Germen EC-Tiger hat crashed in th "Ettal" in Bavaria late yesterday. Newsfeed says the crew of 2 survived with minor injuries and was transported to armed forces hospital at Ulm.

According to Eurocopter all three incidents involved aircraft flying at over 100 knots, with no fatalities.

Looks like a work up for deployment to Afghanistan, fortunately both escaped with only light injuries.
It´ll be interesting to read the final accident report. Until further notice, all German Tigers are grounded. (To be precise: It was agreed to not fly them until an initial report on the cause is known to the operating squadrons) Tom |

I think most pilots are reading accident reports not due to the sensationel story. I only read all these staff to learn more about avoiding these situations by myself.:ouch:
So i'am always interested what's the cause of the accident. (it's not importent what kind of heli crashed but the reason why) When it was a technical reason why the Tiger crashed, you are right!!! :ok: |
