I've got a maintenance forecast that incorporates SLL items that I put on an Excel spreadsheet, I just put in the daily totals and it updates itself, I don't know anything about Excel either, but I haveit in hours and minute not decimal time, I have a problem I cant solve about times above 9999:59 hours, and I haven't managed coloured warnings yet either. Actually for something like this it isn't very difficult.
What aircraft is it that you want it for? |
Well, I don't know anything about component times (as I'm just a dumb pilot), but I do know a little bit on Excel.
So, at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4sooxglwy...9XFjLbnTa?dl=0 you'll find a little starter spreadsheet (developed in Excel 2016, but it should also work in Excel 2013, maybe even Excel 2010) I quickly developed with the basic functionality: - A flightlog (add columns and calculations as you wish) - A component's log incorporating the flown hours from the flightlog and issuing yellow or red warnings if the specified limits are reached (with the help of conditional formatting) - A limit's page where you can set the limits for yellow and red warnings - You can definitely not enter hour values greater than 9999:59, but you can calculate with bigger values and they will show up correctly. I demonstrated it here with the limiting hours of the components. So, a workaround to handle bigger hour values should be available It's without programming (ie. no macros) and only with simple formula and formatting. Feel free to download this sheet and extend it to your needs. BUT: I take no risk and no warranty on anything. If you use it, you use it on your own risk! Neither will I support it! Possible additional columns in the flightlog sheet would be PICs and COs names, comments, purposes, applicable flight rules, ... Possible additional columns in the component's sheet would be serial numbers, comments, other technical details, ... Have fun Thracian |
Thracian,
Thank you. As you might imagine my spreadsheet is quite big, but you have given me a few ideas to incorporate tech log details directly into it. All my my cells are used in simple basic arithmetical formula, not clever enough (yet) for anything more sophisticated. Bluesafari |
Well, that's been my basic idea: Giving you some ideas how to handle the big sheets with the real data. And my sample is only built for this.:)
Have fun Thracian |
Beware using 3rd party spreadsheets to forecaste components and maintenance
until you have thoroughly tested it and are completely happy with the answers. Not testing could leave you open to overflys etc and possible litigation with little comeback if the spreadsheet proves to be faulty in any way. I am not putting down the time and effort of the authors of these sheets,as they do provide an inexpensive and efficient solution when properly written. They take a lot of thought/care and effort to get right. |
Stil in need?
Hi, If anyone is still interested, I can give you spreadsheets for tracking life limits and OH /S.I. and inspections for B-212, 412, 206, EC-135 with PN etc. already entered -could save you some time.
No liability accepted for its use, of course, as mentioned above. regards, hoistop |
Hoistop,
Would like to have a look at one of them, even though I'm looking after an A109E, you may have solved some problems that I am struggling with. Bluesafari |
Sorry for being late.
No problem, have an A-109E spreadsheets too. Please send a PM. hoistop |
