Rotorheads - noting the previous Australian Hoverbike attempts - are you all aware of these guys in the US?

Couldn't find previous references to this via a quick forum search.

Some intriguing videos here which appear to suggest they may have solved problems of control coupling etc.

Although notable that `flights' are no higher than a foot or two - fully in ground effect.:suspect:

Wonder what it would be like OGE - and what would happen if it rolled beyond say 30 degrees?

What do you all think - death sentence?

More likely to die from old age before that gets to be commercially available for private use...

I failed the medical for flying those. The Doc said "Bend over" so I did. He said, "Sorry, you still have a hole in your ass, you won't be flying one anytime soon!"

To be honest. I wasn't too bothered. :E

Wouldn't want to operate above about 5 feet without some kind of parachute, even then there's a big 'dead man's' zone between that height and the point where a parachute could effectively deploy, inflate and cushion your plummeting fall.

Having said that though, it looks at least a bit promising.

Fleep- A flying Jeep, Twin fans (like the platform) powered by a Lycoming T53-17 sat 3 - Ol Stanley :ok: had a few designs.

We've all been regaled with stories in the past couple of years about how close driverless cars are and that's fine. However, there is another kind of transportation that seems much more fertile ground, specifically hover motorcycles that can be much more appealing. Related article at: Hover bikes
