It looks like it's highlighting a huge stress point....

griffothefog 8th Jun 2012 04:17

I thought all new 139's had long noses?

helihub 8th Jun 2012 05:32

griffothefog - it's a 2008 build which AW has been using as a demo aircraft

toptobottom 8th Jun 2012 07:38

It's a 2010 build according to G-INFO

Which Olympics are we talking about here?
Lol, exactly! The craft wears, as RVDT mentioned, the standard AW livery.

In the OP there was the suggestion that this 'fly-through' may have been part of the up-coming Bond movie but yes, it does seem a little late for that.

The a/c reg may well be a give-away when it comes to what the craft is up to.

Brilliant Stuff 10th Jun 2012 13:37

To me the livery looks like the standard AW livery with extra blue and red reflecting the union flag...

G-OLYM

Brilliant Stuff, that's exactly what it is !

How ironic, a helo' G-OLYM (or maybe this particular machine will be
able to get closer to the event(s) than Battersea !!!)

Ian Corrigible 24th Jul 2012 11:53

Olympics ceremony secrecy urged

...but Rotorheads (incl. Sav) may want to tune-in.

PlymouthPixie 24th Jul 2012 14:02

Not Olympic at all - it's the new standard AW C/S. Same are applied to the training A109's at Newquay.
