Rotorheads Calendar June 2012
An Olympic theme for June: a Royal Navy photo taken last month of a 771 Naval Air Squadron Sea King HAR5 flown by Lieutenant Chris Whittington, who flew the Olympic Flame from RNAS Culdrose to Land’s End on the 19th May to start the UK Torch Relay.
The first time a ‘live flame’ was carried in a Royal Navy aircraft, the crew also managed to inject a touch of humour into the flight when they had an ice cream break before departing: a follow on to the RAF beach landing a week earlier  Wide screen size: http://www.eacott.com.au/gallery/d/4...wide+thumb.jpg Standard screen size: http://www.eacott.com.au/gallery/d/4...2012+thumb.jpg As always, for Windows users click on the thumbnail to open a higher resolution full picture, and then right click to select “Set as Background”. Mac users should select the background via System Preferences. |
Good one, thanks!
