Lama I-EFLY

The report of an Italian registered Lama, I-EFLY, 'roading' up the M6 North brought tears to the eyes of one of our local engineers......he's an ex Dollar man & wonders if PDG have finally realised the error of their ways & returned to the ultimate lifting heli ? just kidding........

any info on this Lama greatly appreciated.

Assuming it's the same one I had a discussion with one of the Oban airport staff a couple of weeks ago (and it was a twenty-questions-guess-the-helicopter conversation while trying to arrange landing times... "it's like a Sioux and sounds like a girls name" he said....) its a Lama doing geophysical surveys around Oban, and has a large geophys boom system attached to it for the work, and was shipped in and assembled on site rather than being flown in.

Personally I though Sioux 'sounded' like a girls name and have never met a girl called Lama but am happy to be introduced.

I am reminded of the old limerick:

A lusty young goucho named Bruno
Said "Of sex, there's one thing I do know.
A woman is fine
A sheep is devine
But a Llama is numero uno!

Ok that's taken the conversation down a level or two. I'll get my hat and go.

And there I was believing it was the Aussies and Kiwis with an affection for the sheep! ;)

I-EFL Lama is currently based in Greencastle Co.Tyrone Ireland. It is carrying out a ground survey in the Sperrin Mountains for Dalradian Gold.

See pic I took earlier today, 18th April 2012...

The rumours relating to sheep are really appropriate for our eastern neighbors. Haven't you ever seen a Haka before a football match etc.? All their sheep are called Arte. Listen to the words from their own mouths... Kum Arte, Kum Arte.

OK I'll leave the hat this time.
