They need to throw away all the blades.

A S-76 went down in the Norwich area many years after it had a lightning strike. The metallugist found that the blade was prevously "cooked".

it was an S76 that had lightning strike 3 years before accident which exploited a manufacturing anomaly which was not picked up by sikorsky before blade returned to service

I would imagine if its bad enough to trash all the blades, all the gearboxes could poss be rejected, drive shafts etc.

had quite a few bad ones in ABZ over the last few years. expensive insurance jobs and a lot of work!
