This from HCGB:

"Haywards Insurance are (sic) delighted to invite you for lunch at Helitech on Wednesday Sept 28th. The lunch will be in a special area of the show’s restaurant and access will be by ticket only. Please collect your ticket(s) from the main Helitech reception on Wednesday morning. You and your guests (if any) are ‘on the list’, which is now closed."

Don't forget, you can't just turn up at Duxford which has strict noise abatement restrictions; you'll need to book a slot and get your unique reference. Details in the AIC.

Helitech

Helitech was awesome, oodles of http://dwightschultz.freeforums.org/...?icon=heli.gif of all sorts, shapes and sizes, some amazing old airplanes flyin' aerobatics and splendid weather.....fantastic!

Phil Kemp 29th Sep 2011 02:11

I have met all kinds of interesting people here at the show so far, and more today I'm sure. For me, it is always so interesting to see and reconnect with so many of my former colleagues from the Bristow days - and I have run into a lot of them. :ok:

Beautiful weather, although a little hot if you are on the sunny side, but a lot going on.

Stop by the Vector stand if you get a chance.

G-ARZG 29th Sep 2011 12:54

£20 for an hour of wi-fi ? Runway robbery !

Peter PanPan 29th Sep 2011 15:08

Try the media room, the chap at the front desk is really nice and will let you use both pcs and printer. It worked for me at least!:ok:

parasite drag 29th Sep 2011 20:24

Well I enjoyed finally flying in and attending as a mere ppl(h), I've been meaning to fly in for the last 4 shows !

For all those looking for another reason to go flying real soon, don't forget the heli fly-in/bbq/fundraiser thing at Goodwwod Aerodrome this Sunday 2nd Oct !

(and no, I have no connection whatsoever, I just like to see gatherings of helicopters and like-minded folk :ok:)

I forgot all about Helitech, I just happened to be in the area on Wed and called in for fuel, no problems with arriving un planned. Dropped back in again today on my way home again with no issues.
There was no control zone so nothing to stop you going in.:ok:

toptobottom 29th Sep 2011 22:37

chopjock - and what's your point exactly? You ignored the AIC and got away with it? Awesome. Exactly what I'd expect.

chopjock 29th Sep 2011 22:59

and what's your point exactly?

you can't just turn up at Duxford
Urm, yes you can.

You ignored the AIC
No I did not ignor the AIC. I said I forgot all about the event. So I didn't look.

and got away with it?
Yeh, like it's a crime.

toptobottom 29th Sep 2011 23:48

chopjock, I don't intend getting into a slanging match with you on here, mainly because I can't be bothered. However, your casual attitude to flying responsibly (as evidenced in most of your posts to date) reflects an almost total lack of respect for any material made available for the benefit of your safety and the safety of others. The AIC, which you haven't read, contains important information that ensures all visiting pilots understand the procedures in an area of intense aerial activity.

You're just a sad wind up merchant aren't you? You don't even fly helicopters at all, at least not real ones; just toys. No 'control zone' indeed...

Hughes500 30th Sep 2011 07:15

Top 2 bottom
For your own benefit check your facts before you sling the mud, it saves......

BestoftheWest 4th Oct 2011 02:03

Seemed like there was a pretty good turnout at the event. Lot of machinery on display and lot of visitors coming and going.

Nice to see some positiveness in the industry for a change. :ok:
