Hi Steve,

You should try the Oman Police, they have very nice looking 214 for sale.

The issue is that they have been operating under military authority and might be difficult to get in a civil aviation.

Another one I know is with CHC Norway, I think they are willing to sell it soon. For that you can always contact Heli-One.

Good luck,

Mark

The Royal Oman Police have no 214st aircraft left unless you want to play in this one:E

Helikopter Service Bell 214ST: Long gone

Gentlemen

I had the pleasure of getting my type rating on the ST back in 1990. Since august 1992 I flew it regularly till May 2009. It was replaced by the SuperDuperAWSAR EC225 in June 2009, still flying for Statoil, stationed at the Statfjord B platform.

The ST was a very popular aircraft with all who operated it or repaired it. All of us have fond memories of the time spent with LN-OMM.

Mike Mike has now found its way back home to the Bell factory. Supposedly, Bell is aiming to test a four blade configuration to see how that works.

Kind regards.

Olav

Bristow's B214ST's in ARA are sold to Evergreen and are awaiting delivery, notice the paint scheme.

Bell 414?

It does seem a little late in the day, but it could be a spin off from the USMC UH-1Y program. That involved major reconstruction of UH-1N [212] airframes to accept a larger 4-bladed/uprated TXMN/T700 combination.Adapting that to the ST could be possible, but would there be a market for it?

Had only one flight in a ST. Got to say that it was a great experience. Besides the maintenance headaches, lots of customers liked the ST here in the US.

I'm sure here would be a market as long as it became fully OGP compliant and/or far 29 certified. But this I doubt they will do. Its strange to see that manufacturers don't listen to what the customers are asking for...

Was there not an issue with the type cert being owned by Iran? or is that a myth?

I hear Blackwater have been buying a few of these also.....

Rumor has it that an Australian Operator sold it to them and they are looking for more...
