Aero contractors 332/ 225 at Aberdeen
I saw an Aerocontractors AS332L2/225 parked outside the CHC-Scotia hangar at Aberdeen, a long way from its home in Nigeria. Is it over here for a maintenance check or maybe storage.

Like they say in Thailand, "Good no cheap, cheap no good"
|
It's an EC225 that was one of two on contract to Total in Nigeria. Both machines have now left Nigeria for pastures new. Rumour has it that Total were unhappy with the serviceability/availability of the EC225, in particular the reliability of the engines.

Old 332
I thought the saying in Thailand was "NO MONEY, NO HONEY" ;) |
Sorry Variable Load, but you are wrong this time - the issues were entirely to do with local politics between ACN and CHC.

What aircraft / operator are Total now using?
|
The first of these 225's was in Aberdeen earlier in the year, re-registered as G-PNEO briefly before being ferried to Brazil. Don't know the fate of this one but probably similar.
PPNG's comment also spot-on |
Has UK registration G-ECLP reserved for use by CHC-Scotia.

Simples
Sorry ''PPNG'' your wrong as well!! It simple the contract ended here so the aircraft was returned to the UK for a new paint job after that it will be re-deployed somewere else. SIMPLES.
