Anguilla Helicopter Tours?
I will be on the Island of Anguilla next week and was wondering if
there were any helicopter tours available? Thank you for any replies! |
It's been a few years now since I was there but from what I hear there are no longer any operators who'll be able to help you with a flight. All have ceased operating for one reason or another. But there are a couple of locals hanging around on pprune who might know otherwise.

How about at St. Martin?

Should of said but St Martin was our base and I don't think anybody ever replaced us.

Helicopter Tour of Anguilla (and St. Maarten)
We live on Anguilla and wanted to take a helicopter tour. We could not find one, either on the Web or by asking at the airport. We did, however, recently take Anguilla Air Services' round-the-island tour after finding it at this Web site:
Anguilla Flights... See Anguilla From The Sky It's not something that most locals even think of, and it didn't have the impact of a helicopter tour, but was still terrific. The St. Martin idea above is terrific. It looks like we could have arranged a helicopter tour through them: Island Helicopters St.Martin-St.Maarten-Sight seeing tours - Jimmy Buffet St.Barth transfers - Charter Flights - Medevac - VIP helicopter Charters - Helicopter Transfers - Juliana Airport to St.Barth - Juliana Airport to Anguilla - Private Helicopter I'll be contacting them to see if they will tour Anguilla (it's only a few minutes across a narrow strait). On the other hand, Anguilla is flat while St. Martin is magnificently mountainous, perfect for a helicopter tour. Here's an excellent description that I found: AIR ST. MAARTEN - Leeward Islands Helicopters Feature Hope this helps. I wish I thought of trying St. Martin! It's never too late, since we live here most of the year. I'll report back. :-) Best, Bob |
Quick follow-up to Anguilla Helicopter Tours
I called the St. Martin company and they confirmed they DO do helicopter tours of Anguilla.
So good news! On the other hand, like I said, once you're on St. Martin, which is much more mountainous, THAT island might be more interesting. Best, Bob |
