Help needed to chose between two Photos. (Chinook)
I have to chose one out of two Photos. I took, of a Chinook, for a future thread on PPRUNE.
I can not decide which has most impact etc. Where better to ask than on Rotorheads forum Please help me by Voting for which you think is the better. "Head on" Photo. or the slightly "Head down" Photo. With thanks every help and response. Great pictures - I vote head down.

Head on for me.
|
Head down for me too. Great shots though. May give Ned a run for his money ;)
|
head down :ok:
|
Head down for me. :ok:
IMHO; More blue sky Lights not so sparkly More movement in blades Cockpit screens look better Looks more head on than 'head on' Just seeing the front wheels looks tidier |
Def 'Head up'
|
Easy!
Head down, because the rotors have motion in them. Any good helicopter shot can be ruined by frozen blades. I always make sure I have around 1/80th shutter speed in order to get about 15 degrees of rotor movement.

Pity it wasn`t `BN`,but `Head Down`,and ducking...
|
Second one for me, nose down. More impact and wow factor. :ok:
|
I'm all for keeping my head down. :} Head down it is.
Cheers Whirls |
Nose Down
Nose Down gets my vote
more natural and action |
Head down for me too :ok:
|
head down, looks meaner :E
|
If the "head on" picture was more straight I would choose it, but as presented I have to say the 2nd picture, "nose down" is my choice.
I like to see the entire width of the rotor too- just my opinion. Mark |
I've added a Poll to this thread: all those who have posted already may like to add a vote to give Old Photo Fanatic a better idea of your preference :ok:

Definitely nose down! :ok:
|
I didn't know a Chinook could look so good. Nice photos. I voted nose down.
