Which best lifter for AS350 - floats equiped
Hello guys,
Any of you can share his experiment with a good helicopter truck or lifter? I am especially looking for a way to move an AS350 squirrel without removing the floats fitted on. For the moment I have a "chopper spotter" but it needs to unlock the rear side at each lift... A pain twice a day... Rgds |
We have a Huey and a Bell 212 that can lift and move it for you....but prolly not what ya meant huh?

Probably one of the most effective solutions will be to install a custom built landing trolley. If you don't possess a ground handling tug then an electric motor can be fitted to the trolley wheels enabling it to be steered (in much the same way as the Chopper Spotter) or a small set of tracks can be laid which lead into the hangar. I think that what MacOz has revealed is probably exactly what you are looing for if you want a direct replacement from the Chopper Spotter. If you want to buy one then here is the link to the manufacturer: Omar Technology - Container, Shelter uso medicale, container ospedalieri, Sale operatorie mobili, movimentazione elicotteri, Mobile hospital, Military, Trolley for helicopter, Logistic MacOz - perhaps it might be more appropriate to refer to the rubber pad which makes contact with the skid cross tubes as a 'stopper'. Looks like a useful piece of kit. Well done! Earl http://www.kopterdoctor.com/images/h...er_drawing.jpg |
A company called TLC here in the UK made a modified version of their standard model for a float fitted 350. Works very well indeed, and is really stable on the move.
Maybe check out their website and give them a call (sorry, don't have the details to hand). |

We have a fair number of noblemen here on PPRuNe and my cousin The Count has recommended a helicopter buggy from the UK firm TLC who can be contacted via this link: TLC Handling Earl http://www.tlchelilift.com/images/main_picture.jpg |
