Pls advise-where in EU are best rules for heli ops from/to fields & elevated pads
Hi,
since in our country there is still no regulated rules for helicopter operations to/from elevated heliports, private fields and populated areas - I am looking for the best rules around the EU - to give to our authorities as a proposal to copy them. Please advice witch AIP is the best for us around the EU!!! |
Be smart and stick to your local rules... :E

As the others have said---stick to the rules you have. If you absolutely must have some...go with the FAA rules, which basically say "Don't be a dumbass".
FAR 91.119 Minimum Safe Altitudes FAR 91.13 Careless and Reckless |
I think they are quite relaxed in Belgium with respect to flying helicopters. Or you might want to take a look at the AIP of the United Kingdom or Switzerland. I am not sure about France.
From which country are you? |
As EASA seems to be having such difficulties with rules at the moment I recommend we all adopt Latvia's rules.

It's not clear to me what kind of 'rules' you are looking for? Latvia is one of the EU member states of the JAA so presumably it adopted JAR OPS-3. If so, amendment 5 of OPS-3 gives as much guidance as you should need. If not, what specifically do you want to know?
