Low Level Listening Squawk

The squawk WAS 7366 and hasn't changed as far as I am aware. Not sure if it's for good or even compulsory but give the amount of light traffic using the corridor it's a good idea to get at least a basic service off Manchester radar.

Hi

Its a permanent option now and should be used if maintaining a listening watch on 118.575. Otherwise squawk 7000 and talk to them (if you want) and they will probably give you a new one and a basic service.

Joel:ok:

Thankyou for that ...i had forgotten and there is nothing mentioned in Pooleys . I have been told they prefer you not to call bit to do the squawk and listen ...is that true ?
