Agusta Bell 206, 212, 412 headrests
I would appreciate any help as I am lost in this one.
I'm looking for kits and and maybe some photos of kits fitted into early Jetrangers that had only waist belts for cockpit seats. Our Jetrangers don't have shoulder straps and we are looking into options to buy some. Also, are there any head rests - support kits out there for 206, 212 and 412? We have only Agusta Bells. As we are getting into helmets, questions arrise if we are doing everything possible for safe usage. Do haedrests add to safety when helmets are worn and in what cases? Thank you for reading, Jure |
Jure,
Retro-fit of crew shoulder harnesses was originally a Bell Service Letter (I think). Aeronautical Accessories - now Edwards Associates - sell several kits for the 206, details here . Can't help with the headrest question though... |
Headrests are for comfort indeed, our lot dont wear bone domes because I suspect management have not found anything harder than their heads to date!

Thank you both.
We are not wearing our helmets for protection, but to keep our head from damaging the helicopter. Now that's expensive :} |
IIRC, the Aeronautical Accessories kit includes a headrest:

That is that, found on TRC's link.
