UK to Denmark to France in R22 - hours building

I'm off to France via Denmark during the week commencing Monday October 26th.

We'll be starting in the Midlands, heading down to Lydd (via the London Heli lanes), across France, Belgium, Holland, northern Germany and to Aarhus in Denmark,

If you are looking to build some hours, and your experience, and are able to be PIC in a R22, then please PM me for details. We will be cost-sharing.

It's a great trip, (I've done it several times before), and it's very educational as well.

This time of year, allow 3 days to complete the mission, with one day in reserve just in case of bad weather.

Dont forget your arm bands ! :E

So long as you keep pedalling, it'll stay up. Unless you have one of those fancy, new rubber-band driven ones, in which case, you make sure you've wound the band up tight before leaving dry land.

Make that two days in reserve, in case there's a head wind

Just kidding - sounds like fun!

soooooooo predictable

but all in good humour.

I once landed in Bahrain and we parked our R44 next to one of those massive CH-53 helicopters.

One of the engineers who was working on the rotor head - the swash plate to be precise - came and had a look at our rotor head, and said (in a George Bush Texan drawl)

"That ain't a swash plate, that there is a swash saucer".

CHCOffshore -- it's G-SPEE.
