Help Please!

Gents,

Can I ask your advice? I've set up my own company providing heli and jet charters and am really keen to expand my business into providing fixed and rotorwing aircraft management with/without charter provision.
I understand the legislative requirements for this but my question is (and this is the million dollar question) apart from trawling through Debrett's Who's Who and Times Rich List does anyone have any pointers on how/where to find a client who wants to buy an aircraft, I do have charter clients but they aren't in the market to buy.
I thought I would ask the question on here as I am sure there are many ways to find those all important clients.
Any advice would be much appreciated! (Commission offered for any leads that pay off too)!!
Many thanks
CM

Welcome to Pprune CM...

...I see this is your first post! With great respect CM, if you need to trawl Pprune for guidance on attracting business, the future may not be kind to you! Charter and management have always been fiercely competitive and you are against some big (and proven!) players with budgets and marketing expertise you can only dream of. In addition, as you may be aware, the current economic climate is seeing more firms and individuals disposing of their aircraft. Please understand that almost every captain of industry, celeb, blue-chip company/corporation and existing owner/operator has received countless approaches from existing and prospective management outfits.. and will continue to do do! Good luck anyway bm

following from BM, you deserve 10 out of ten for boldness. as he says, perhaps a bit too bold.

reminds me of a fellow OZ helicopter mate who was in the trucking business for a while.
he made the mistake of ringing a competitor and asking him, "how far from X to Z?"

the answer came back, 'Well bloggs, when I started out I bought a road map from the local sevo and worked it out myself.'

I thought he was quite gentle, plenty other people in OZ have been given definitive instructions of 'shortcuts' which have been extremely educational for the recipients.
cheers tet

Many thanks

Just a note to all who sent PM's to say thanks, great to widen the business circle and make new business contacts.
Bold approach, make no apologies for that, no wallflower ever made it big in life.
The future of this industry lies firmly in the hands of this generation (30+'s) with the next already bringing up the rear (19 and 21 year old budding pilots, some phenomenal talent out there).
Boeing Chap, top tip, never underestimate those around you or their actions.
Best regards to all
