Helicopter registration data

I am looking for an online source of information on numbers of helicopters in service worldwide. Ideal would be details of make and model registered by country, but any info welcome.

Thanks

General | Aircraft Register | Safety Regulation

Gives links to individual countries.

Most complete site i have found is

ROTORSPOT - Complete (Historical) Civil Rotorcraft Registers

All regions can be downloaded seperatley as text files.

I have found few gaps in the database that I think maybe military versions.

Widgeon,

Thanks for this. What I am actually looking for is summarized data on the total numebr of helicopters (civilian only preferred) operating by country, and a breakdown by number of each make and model. I dont need to get to the level of specific reg numbers. Your links have much info, but I am unable to find the summarized data I am looking for.

Rotor Roster ( requires subscription) I think can give you the reports you want.

Rotor Roster used to be the affordable solution, but after they were bought out by FI last year their prices went through the roof (the cost of the basic Rotor Roster CD-rom went from $25 to $225 overnight, which probably explains why the HAI no longer offers it for free).

Other options include HeliCAS and AMSTAT.

i thinkyou will find it was rotor roster that gave it away free at HAI not HAI giving it away free

either way it was a good publication and when free was even better

Steve,

The deal used to be that HAI members were able to download the Rotor Roster for free, but then the company changed hands, the cost went through the roof and the free download disappeared.

EN48,

If there are specific countries you need, just PM me.

A year ago I rang the CAA and the nice chap told me the exact number there and then.

Anyone know where the website is which tells you who hides behind the callsigns like Speedbird = British Airways?

I used to have it but then lost the address and I am not winning with Google.

Here. But it'll cost you I'm afraid.

As this old thread has just resurfaced, if anyone wants it Eurocontrol provide an online callsign lookup which appears to be the same edition as the ICAO document.
