Rescue Helicopter Crash in Poland today
 

Another sad news. A polish HEMS mission ended in a tragedy, Pilot and HCM were killed and the doctor severely injured, when the MI 2 crashed during a rescuemission in southern poland. Weather was reported bad with fog and heavy snowfall.

A sad day for Polish HEMS crews. Last crash was in 2003 - W-3 went down in mountains during search for avalanche accident victims.

Those Mi-2+ shouldn't be flying long ago, but its replacement - the EC135 is still months till becoming operational... or even being delivered.

I guess, it wasn't technical problem, weather was terrible at that time - strong fog with local visibility of 10-30 m. Local fogs were predicted by weather forecast - there is some "room" to consider pilot error.

Realy bereave people any way.
