Used to have about ten to fifeteen Helis of all makes per day flying round where my LZ is, the only one now is the Lancashire ASU going Burnley way chasing the Bro's.

Another CplH down at the end of the low level C has also remarked on the same state of lack of airborne helis.

The past three days we have had lurverly Wx for flying Helis, NOT ONE in sight :sad:

But hey ho, the Greens will love it!!!!:mad:

You havent seen FIBS working her way up and down every day then ? Prob because she is so high trying to save fuel now that there is an extra 50 p per litre just added by our communist gov,t. I am afraid that a year ago i said most private and small aoc flying will finished very soon ......i think it has nearly happened thanks to gov,t, recession and caa. One good thing is that the caa may go bust when all the aoc,s stop paying :ok:

I had expected there to be a surplus of machines pushing down prices but this doesn't seem to be happening, based on prices on controller.com. Perhaps the reality of prices paid is different to prices asked!

There seems to be many R44 II's that have been there for months at the same price. Recession or not they should be getting cheaper as the calendar counts down on them.

Are you in the Php military? anyway, you may consider looking at Malaysia Offshore Industry, with your S76A experience, depending hours on type. The local operator mainly uses S76 variants, and employs Expats from time to time
