Was there in the evening to fly in police investigators. Not much to say except that wreckage is not spread much (except for small debris), nothing is left and one rotor blade appeared to be far off the crash site (no one should conclude anything from those words). Witness saw the chopper coming down fast (controlled or uncontrolled flight remains unknown) and than heard the explosion.
Nothing more to say at present time.:(

12 November 2008: FRANCIA, INCIDENTE ELICOTTERO: ROTTURA PALA, UNICO CASO IN 30 ANNI.

I suspect that a lot of people here don't speak italian (incl. myself)... the translate function of google is obviously not 100% - but one can get the point:

12 November 2008: FRANCE, HELICOPTER ACCIDENT: BREACH PALA, SINGLE EVENT IN 30 YEARS. Are being further investigations in synergy with the authorities' court, for the most 'rapid assessment of the causes for purposes of prevention, and for the restoration of full operational readiness of the fleet and service SAR SMA - Public Information Office of 12/11/2008. The Air Force, following the flight occurred in France on October 23 us all'elicottero HH-3F dell'84 ° center S.A.R. (Search and rescue) in Brindisi, with the death of all the soldiers on board, has launched an investigation technique to reconstruct the dynamics of what. After the first technical inspection, conducted in a framework of collaboration with the French authorities and respecting the prerogatives of the authorities' national judicial authorities, the Armed Forces has decided to suspend the October 27, as a precaution, the flight of its own HH-3F helicopters and SH-3D. The most significant findings show a technical problem that caused the rupture of a main rotor blade. The rupture resulted thereafter, the loss of tail rotor dell'elicottero and impact with the ground. The incident appears to be the only factor in technical about 30 years to life dell'elicottero HH-3F.
