Helicopter Air Support Bravery awards
 

Just wanted to say a very big WELL DONE to this police helicopter crew.

(As usual, real heroes tend not to shout from the rooftops).

The two observers, dressed in flying coveralls, boots and flying helmets (not ideal swimming gear), jumped twenty five to thirty feet from the aircraft into a flood swollen river and were in the water half an hour until they were all brought out by boat!

OMG, how many Health and Safety regs did they break doing that???;)

If they had been in the MCA they would have probably got the sack!

Thank goodness there are still those around prepared to take immediate, drastic action to save lives - well done:D
