B206 Engine

Hello

Wondering if someone could please help.

A friend of mine is just about to do his Jetranger endorsment and is wanting to find out information on its engine and its other major components (transmission, hydraulics, FCU, governer, fuel pump, ignitor etc etc), and to mainly be able to readily identify them if ask.

Where would he find or does anyone have a detailed schematic, illustration or pictures of the parts of the engine.

He basically wants to be able to open the cowls and with schematic or photo in hand be able to identify and point out the specific parts in the engine.

I myself before have seen where people have taken photos of the engine and all the other sections and then arrowred the appropiate part name onto the picture.

He is new to turbines and any help would be very much appreciated and then I can pass the information onto him

Cheers

This is quite a nice diagram of the engine

The walkaround checklist gives a list of the things to examine but there are variations between machines (FCU CECO or Bendix/ Different engine types / Add ons like the Range Extender and Particle Seperator system which are not on all individuals).

Guy I know has spent a lot of time developing a B206 training manual. Contact him via his site I'm sure he will point you in the right direction.

I would have thought the pilot doing the endorsement training would sort this out?

I took and posted this little video of the engine start showing most of the instruments, temperatures and pressures. Hope it helps.
