The new format EC225 Flight Manual (which has just started on general release) shows AHRS switches with guards over them. I have been told that this will become the standard - i.e. future AFCAU will be shipped with guards as a matter of routine. I have no information about timeframe, but I have been assured "it's coming - soon". That said, the latest 225 off the production line does not have guards, so believe it when you see it.

HC - ECF eventually acknowledged the problem and redesigned a relay in the electrical system. If the new relay is fitted the new RFM procedure works fine but, despite what the RFM seems to say, the battery should go on within 5 seconds of GPU authorisation, not after 5 seconds (ref. SA).
