That is a very pretty fleet!

:ok:

Flap-Back 8th Mar 2016 21:03

They look amazing don't they. The Cabri is certainly a photogenic aircraft! :ok:

A Cabri in Paris

Until now, no-one is a prophet in his own land also applied to the Cabri. Even if some G2 fly in France, none was close to Paris.
The S/N 1135 is operated by Helixaero on the Toussus-Le-Noble airport.:D

Does anyone know where I can buy a Cabri POH?
I tried the UK distributor but didn't get anywhere.

CentralS 15th Mar 2016 19:41

Hello Knievel, do you mean that you need a Pilot's Operating Handbook?
Why buy it? Simply visit the Customer's corner on the Guimbal site, register and get your copy for free. If you open the french version of the site, you'll get some more information. ;)

KNIEVEL77 15th Mar 2016 20:55

Thanks for the info guys.
Coincidently just after I sent my last post, I received an email from the distributor who is putting a hard copy in the post.
I'm looking forward to flying the Cabri sometime soon.

Sounds like they have a launch customer in Canada now. Will look forward to seeing one in Western Canada..

Yes they have : Guimbal has first Canadian customer for Cabri G2 trainer| Vertical Magazine

"Delivery to British Columbia Helicopters is set for Jan. 12, 2017, if Transport Canada certification goes through by the end of the year as expected, said Sancho.
As soon as the company receives its first Cabri G2, it plans to place an order for its second, and may eventually acquire a third. "

Another Cabri for the UK

The 18th Cabri destined for the UK has come on to the UK Register as G-VVBH
No prizes for guessing its destination.

Maff 5th Apr 2016 21:09

I'm looking forward to picking up my cabri in just over a week, which I guess will be the 19th in the UK, and little sister to my EC130 T2.

Cabri down?

Looks like a Cabri has had succesful forced landing but unfortunately destroyed.

Looks like a Cabri in NZ.

Rotorbee 15th Apr 2016 05:59

There is one on fire in NZ.

Looks like a pretty hard landing with the blades hanging down like that.
As long as the pilot is OK ...

He walked away. I posted a clip. Pilot okay.

Freewheel 15th Apr 2016 06:59

Dunno, if its been on fire for long enough the blades may have melted or even been lit themselves.

Might be a tough task to rebuild it too.....

First thing to order if he wants to rebuild: 1EA HELICOPTER ASSY
Lead times might be going through the roof though...

Rotorbee 15th Apr 2016 09:22

Tailboom looks still OK half way down.
A tip of a rotor blade might survive in the damp grass.
Some screws probably?
Hopefully the pilot thought about taking the key. Always a hassle to get them replaced.

Hughes500 15th Apr 2016 10:09

My Imagination but Cabri's seem to be having a few problems, was told 14 of 100 or so have crashed ? Not sure how true that is but, anyone really know what is going on. No this is not bashing the product just curious

Rotorbee 15th Apr 2016 12:03

15 according to ASN

Most of them probably pilot error. Some spinning while hovering accidents. Some chopped off tailbooms. The unusual high vibrations (followed by autorotations) are a bit strange I think. Only two completely written off. Make that three with the last one.

BUT ... no fatalities, yet. Speaks for the ship.
