G-BALZ at Kidlington in February 1973 when it was owned by Oxford Heli-Services (effectively BEAS) just before we took it to Dublin then on to Cork as EI-AWK of Irish Helicopters.....

...and as EI-AWK, brought over from Dublin for the very first Offshore Oil Exhibition at Aberdeen University on 19 March 1973. For those who know Aberdeen WK was parked in the University grounds on the corner of St Machar Drive and Bedford Road.

I recall a fellow named John Tanigawa, who was called "Frosty" due to there being a "Nip" in the air.
I remember John had a peculiar way of hunkering down in the seat of a 212 with his arse at the very front of the seat sling. He was barely able to see over the middle of the coaming and often preferred to fly steep approaches by looking through the chin panels. Something to do with his experiences of flying the 205 in a faraway place to the East where he wasn't warmly welcomed by the locals, IIRC.

I tried to post a note and some pictures but obviously I can't do that because I have not posted 8 times. Don't understand that. There was no URL included in my attempted post...
