P2-PAV
Just been looking at the photos of P2-PAV which I understand forced landed due to an engine problem in Afghanistan....only to be destroyed by by a couple of RPGs some time later before the Helicopter could be returned to service, all crew members safe back in Kubul.

Hi
Flew P2-PAV a loooong time ago. Any possibility to see the pictures ? Regards ex s61n |
I used to fly it in PNG also, when it had the IFR gear in it. Always sorry to learn of the demise of a 212.
Didn't Pacific have a 212 come out of a major recently? "Ouch" if they've spent a lot of money getting it going, only to have not much money spent by the <deleted> fragging it. |
P2-PAV
I will see what I can do about the photos....Yes "Victor" had a major last year and was like new!!! nothing left of it now...what remained following the 2 RPG attack was blown sky high later so of no interest to the bad guys.
