Starting my Course

Hello everybody,

Right now i'm very much looking forward on starting the course and i can't wait to call myself a propper rotorhead.

You're not a rotorhead till you get your first coffee in the clubhouse! Welcome! :)

Good choice of schools.:ok: They will look after you there. Just remember to study and don't sit there in the crewroom sleeping like some do:zzz: . Get out a flight manual and read the good book. Ask questions.

Chopperline are a good bunch enjoy and study hard, if you need some comedy pop next door and talk to the beckers :}

While your there, go to Noosa Heads, do some surfing, it's one of the most beautiful beachs in the world. Maroochydore is good for a night out, but don't go to moulin rouge !!!

all the best mate, pm me for any ideas on good local places to go out

Thanks for the replies guys, always nice to get confirmation on making the right choice.
Surfing and a Moulin Rouge??
Sounds like there's more distraction there then there is here in Amsterdam!!:ok:

Already started studying in 'The Rotorcraft Flying Handbook'..
It's a handful without anybody teaching, but i still understand everything i've read so far...( or at least i think i am..:uhoh: )

Will drop you a line Mountjoy as soon as i've settled there.
I could use a few tips on where to go and have a beer..or two.

Cheers!

this sounds great! i have never been to sunshine coast before and wonder if its nice. i will come and do the same as you in June. sooo looking forward to it, now in the process of planning everything.. wonder if i would need to hire a car or could go around on bicycle?

I would have to extend the definition of proper rotorhead slightly by saying you're not one until you've done your first touchdown auto!

Having said that, don't hesitate to give the fixed wing lower class a hard time as soon as you like.

Holy thread resurrection (again!), Batman!

Is there something in the water at the moment???

ah yes, perhaps I should have looked at the date. He's probably a factory test pilot by now.

6 years on and I still can't stand coffee! Guess that's why I didn't make it full-time eh?

Cheers
