End of the "level at 1500ft" in the LCTR

Finally, the LCTR has gotten rid of the "Level at 1500ft" clearance limit when in the LCTR in the sector 020 degrees - 140 degrees based on LHR.

In line with rule 5 changes, we can now give "not above 1500ft" (though of course the Restricted areas still need to be avoided)

Thanks to the input of at least one PPRuNe pilot on here who provided a valuable input and time to help things move along.

Saw the memo about this in Batts a couple of weeks ago. Well done guys.

Now shows astonishing ignorance. What about the Spec Area? Will that still be 1500'? I'd hate to be the first one to get it wrong!!

"Spec Area" is now R160 and it covers bits of both Heathrow Class A and City Class D.

Within that are 3 Restricteds with tops at 1400ft : R157, 158, 159. They pretty much nuzzle up to each other. So (unless you have an ENSF) you will have to remain above 1400ft.

This will assist: http://www.ais.org.uk/aes/pubs/aip/p...s/32LL0302.PDF

So, VH, "how was it for you?!?!"

You like the BNN 143 radial direct to Battersea International?? How is the 1000ft part between Perivale area and Battersea?

And ST - if ER never gave you an MBE someone should! :)

I take it that MBE stands for Mind Boggling Effort!!

Seriously it's nice and easy, and a whole lot faster, just don't do what I did first time and ask the machine to intercept the radial for you. The magic box goes a long way out of it's way to pick it up. Could lead to major embarrasment:uhoh:

Again a big thank you guys.

Yes, the 133 radial for Brent was used as it gave a leeway for a mile either side of track against 27R/L separation.

The 143 is bang on the furthest west you can go - and if you are going to err best err to the east of that line!!! :)

(And for ST - MBE stands for My Big 'Elicopter......)
