FI (H) Renewal

Merry Christmas All,

Part of my new year resolutions is to renew my lapsed FI (H)...part of that requires attendance of a FI (H) Refresher Course...is there a list of available courses in UK?

Many thx

FI(H) renewal

Hi experts,

need an answer rather quickly.
I need to renew my JAR-FCL FI(H).

Is it possible to do the checkride on an aircraft I have no type rating for ?
Background: A FI(H) is independent of ratings, once you get a new rating and the proper experience you can instruct on that aircraft.
If one of you ratings is expired you cannot instruct on that type because you cannot be PIC.

I don't want to instruct on a 300 which I'd like to take the ride on (rating expired).
I don't want to take the ride in a Jetbox because it is too expensive.

Clues anybody ?

Goodgrief,
If you have a 300 type rating but its just expired, why dont you ask whoever is doing your FI revalidation if they can sign you off for an LPC at the same time? Might cost a couple of quid more and take a few minutes longer but probably still cheaper than doing it in the 206!
Good luck,:ok:

The 300 rating expired 3+ years ago...
Anyway, I did the test on a 206. That's it. Screw the cost, I call it my own early christmas present...:ouch:

Renewal JAA FI(H)

Hello all,

I'm looking to renew an expired FI(H) on my JAA licence.

It has been several years since it lapsed so my understanding is that I'll have to renew a suitable type rating, attend a seminar and take the flight test.

Unfortunately, there aren't any seminars available in the UK at the moment that I can attend.

This is possibly wishful thinking, but any recommendations of other places in JAA/EASA-land where I can accomplish this on an adhoc basis, rather than waiting for the next seminar to roll around? And preferably without having to remortgage the house :O

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

There should be one soon at Wycombe - just depends on how quickly the approval paperwork can spin through the CAA
