High tension

Can anyone tell me the pay of the guys flying backwards laying the high tension lines over those hugh power poles in Aus?

Don't ask me why - it's boring.

md902man 10th Mar 2006 13:37

Why? You can't keep us wondering now!!

SASless 10th Mar 2006 14:01

That kind of flying is anything but Boring! As soon as the payout reel hangs up or the line snags on something...you will understand!

Sock lining will give you a wonderful excuse to take up serious consumption of alcohol.

You mean these guys?

High Tension

Hell - you dragged it out of me !!!!

Some organisational psychologist was quoted as saying that we all have control over our incomes according to the nature of our specialisation.

He gave the example of - is it "sock lining" - and suggested that these guys would be paid mega $$$.

Hence my question. There - I told it was boring.

In accordance with worlds best practice as a helicopter operator constructing and maintaining HV powerlines .......Aeropower pay their pilots ....

NOT FERKIN ENOUGH!

rotorfan 12th Mar 2006 06:08

HUH? What do they pay the pilots? What about the guy riding the platform and playing with the wires? I don't see why they aren't zapped every time they go to work, because they obviously have some big brass ones.:E
