Afganistan helicopter operations

Have read about the very high mountains in this hell hole the Americans and Brits will be "hunting" in.
When a UH-60L or even the WESTLAND COMMANDO
have to start working at over 10,000ft and up to 15,000ft how much of a load will these helos be able to handle in real terms ?
If anyone can discuss the problems with hi-altitude helicopter operations without giving out any secret info id be grateful.

Thanks

Have seen footage of the Russian helo ops in Afghanistan, and they were not pretty. They constructed short runways of steel plating at the mountain bases so the helicopters could get airborne!! The footage of them rolling along the plate and dropping off the end is fantastic!

One plus for Wheels in the Wheels Vs Skids arguement!!
