Seeking Jerry Hardy's Spouse
Jerry was a UK Navy pilot who did an exchange tour with the Australian Navy as an instructor on Hueys and I was one of his pupils during 1970. He formed firm friendships with his pupils and we socialised as a group, such that they were all groomsmen at my wedding. Jerry was some what taken aback by the necessity to make a 2,000 mile round trip driving over an Easter weekend to attend.
Jerry took a ship home and met a young Lady on board who he subsequently married, and I believe had a child.
Jerry post service went to fly with Bristow and was killed when his S-76 shed a blade at Aberdeen.
I and couple of his ex students would like to make contact with his Spouse and Child to pass on our memories of a wonderful individual who gave us such a good grounding in the profession.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Jerry on the right with ex student Jim Gumley left, crewman Pancho Walters centre, doing the mail run to the Royal Yacht on its visit to Oz.

You might try posting in "Where Are They Now" forum. I had exceptional luck a few years ago when trying to find information on my father.

Megan,
It may be worth sending a pm to Fareastdriver, although it's been a while since they posted on this site.
Also, there were a number of newspaper articles regarding this. They may be retrieved via https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/ (there is a fee). I've not read them but it's possible they could provide further useful information.
Finally the Scottish National Archives should contain a record that would provide you with his spouse's name at least.
